Our expert guides will provide everything you need, from reading water to delicious meals and a comfortable camp for a seven-day expedition, ensuring a seamless experience in the wilderness of Alaska. We will depart from Copper Center at our river side campground on the banks of the Klutina River, and drift to Flag Point just below the “Million Dollar Bridge” 45 miles outside of Cordova.

Let our staff provide you with the very best hospitality, equipment and camp amenities! Our guests are provided professional quality tents, sleeping bags and pads/cots as well as hot showers and a charging station for small personal electronics. Safety gear, dry bags and camp chairs are also provided. A trip checklist will ensure you are prepared for all weather and personal items needed for an enjoyable time on the river. You will be savoring mouthwatering meals prepared with care next to a warm fire and a camp with all the amenities. Using dutch ovens, cast iron and a back country allow us no restrictions on the types of meals we can prep and cook. We make great efforts to provide well balanced meals and plenty of snacks and hot/cold drinks to keep everyone fueled up for the day!

Visiting the park via McCarthy? Consider Salmon Grove as your base camp. There are several shuttle services available that go into the park daily. The dirt road is unsuitable for RV’S and many people find Salmon Grove the perfect place to base camp when visiting Kennicott McCarthy. We offer special rates for the days you are not at camp but your RV is.
